Joshua Brazzle Sr, son of William Brazzell and Mary ?, was born on January 11, 1805 in Ohio. He died on September 13, 1858 in Harrison Co, Missouri. He married Nancy Quillen on May 20, 1824 in Lawrence Co. Indiana. She was born on July 25, 1807 in Clinch River, Scott County, Virginia. She died on July 25, 1858 in Eagleville, Harrison Co. Missouri.

Joshua and Nancy Brazzle are buried in Allen Cemetery, Union twp, Harrison Co. Missouri. They are buried in the same lot and the front of the stone has Joshua’s information and the back side is Nancy’s information.

Land Purchase from U.S. Govt- August 1, 1839 by Joshua Brazzell of Greene Co Indiana– the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4 of S11 in T6N of R5W containing 40a. 1855, Jan. 23– Warranty Deed in Greene Co, IN General Index Deeds, Vol. J-O, 1852-1857, #2 — Joshua and Nancy sells to John Clark. Deed filed and recorded January 31st, 1855 at 12 o’clock. This indenture withnesseth that Joshua Brazell and Nancy Brazell his wife in consideration of one thousand dollars in hand paid by John Clark the receipt whereof is hereby acknowledged, do hereby grant, bargain, sell, and convey to the said John Clark his heirs and assigns forever the following real estate. In Greene County and State of Indiana and described as follows to wit. The South East quarter of the south east quarter of section two in Township six north of Range five west. Also the North East quarter of the north east quarter of section eleven in Township six north of Range five west in the District of Lands subject to sale at Vincennes, Indiana containing in all eight acres, together with all the privileges and appurtenances to thee same belonging.To have and to hold the same to the said John Clark his heirs and assigns forever. The grantors their heirs and assigns hereby covenanting with the grantee his heirs and assigns, that the title so conveyed is clear, free and un-incumbered, that they are lawfully seized of the premises aforesaid. As of a sure, perfect and indefeasible estate of inheritance in fee simple. And that they will warrant and defend the same against all claims whatsoever. 1856, August 25– Land Deed; Harrison Co, Missouri; Vol. G, Page 289— This indenture made and entered into this twenty fifth day of August in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and fifty six by and between Elijah McWilliams and Sarah his wife of the county of Harrison and State of Missouri of the first part and Joshua Brazell and James L. Lemar of the said county of the second part. Witness ? that the said party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of two hundred dollars to them in hand paid. The receipt whereof acknowledged has given granted bargained and sold and by these presents do give, grant bargain sell alien convey and confirm unto the said party of the second part and to their heirs and assigns forever that contain tract, piece or parcel of land. Lying and being in the county of Harrison and State of Missouri (viz) the north east quarter of the south west quarter of Section No 17 in Township No 65 of Range No 28 containing five acres more or less to have and to hold the said tract piece or parcel of land together with all the appurtenances thereunto belonging or in any wise appertaining to the only use? and ? of them the said parties of the second part and to their heirs and assigns forever. And the said party of the first part for them their heirs executors and ? ? ? warrant and forever ? the same.
